Combining Industry Nine’s tough 6069 aluminum Triad rims with the Hydra 2 System hub and proprietary aluminum spokes, this wheelset delivers precise handling, rapid engagement, and dependable performance when the terrain gets rough.

The Triad rim uses an extruded 6069 Hollow Bead aluminum construction engineered to withstand hard impacts and demanding terrain while maintaining a balanced, predictable ride feel. A 30mm internal rim width provides an ideal platform for modern mountain bike tires, offering excellent sidewall support and confident traction through corners, rock gardens, and technical descents.

At the heart of the wheelset is Industry Nine’s Hydra 2 System hub platform, featuring an impressive 870 points of engagement and just 0.41° of rotation between engagements. The result is nearly instantaneous power delivery—especially noticeable when navigating technical climbs, ratcheting through tight sections, or accelerating out of corners.

What truly sets this wheelset apart is Industry Nine’s proprietary 7075-T651 aluminum System Spoke design. Rather than using a conventional J-bend spoke and separate nipple, each straight-pull aluminum spoke threads directly into the hub shell and incorporates wrench flats at the rim.

Eliminating the traditional J-bend and spoke/nipple interface removes common stress points found in conventional wheel construction. The oversized aluminum spokes provide a stiff, highly responsive connection between the hub and rim, helping the wheel track precisely through rough terrain while giving the Triad its unmistakable Industry Nine appearance.
