The Berd HAWK30X is the strongest and most durable mountain bike wheelset Berd has ever designed. Purpose-built for downhill, enduro, and eMTB riding, the HAWK30X combines reinforced carbon rims with Berd’s exclusive PolyLightX spokes to deliver exceptional impact resistance without the excessive weight or harsh ride typically associated with gravity-focused wheels.
PolyLightX spokes are 50% larger, 44% stiffer, and more than twice as abrasion resistant as standard Berd PolyLight spokes, while weighing just 3.5 grams each. They retain the vibration-damping characteristics Berd spokes are known for, helping maintain traction and reduce rider fatigue through rough terrain.
The 30 mm internal We Are One Composites carbon rims feature a reinforced layup engineered for maximum impact strength. An 18 mm deep profile provides radial compliance and lateral stiffness, while the wide 3.75 mm rim lip helps distribute hard impacts and protect both the rim and tire.
Berd Talon hubs use a 54-tooth dual-sprung ratchet system for quick engagement and immediate power transfer when accelerating out of corners or attacking technical climbs.
